Mama na Mtoto strives at enhancing the capacities of partners we work with and fostering a strong and respectful working relationships. Experience has taught us that without taking taking time to constructively engage with partners; we cannot fully understand the nature of challenges they face if we are to contribute to the transformation they aspire and deserve. 

We engage partners with the view that they have (hidden) abilities which we could jointly help explore, harness and bundle into create valuable capabilities. And we strongly believe that empowerment is crucial for the transformation and progress. Driven by those principles; we are inclusive when planning, encourage participatory decision making and encourage all stakeholders to work towards a common goal. Mama na Mtoto Helps partners helping themselves while playing a facilitating role.

Because of the complexity surrounding development, it is insufficient to reduce all projects into a set of narrow defined and predictable of short-outcome outputs. There is a dynamic and continuous changing landscapes in the development sector; and for those reasons, we take a step-wise approach i) to make a good use of donations and ii) giving chance to a learning process to take its course. We take the learning process seriously as it is our way of improving our approaches.
