Current Projects

This summer, we are launching two projects
  1. The project which will help girls who dropped out of school and became pregnant. This project will provide them and the rest of the community members teachings on sexual and productive health, including family planning and gender issues. From our initial attempt to help those girls, we learnt that there are misconceptions and inaccurate information circulating in this community. By offering professional informations in a way that suits them and in a setting they feel more comfortable is a way of dispelling those myths and misconceptions. This project also will serve as a platform to identify what sort of apprenticeship or vocational education that girls who dropped out of school would really want to do. You can read a summary of this project here.
  2. The project that will help the community create some form of employment using the skills they have. It is an interesting concept of developing self help village enterprise which can harness the progress of this community. The project is called Ubushobozi in Kinyarwanda, meaning capacity. The details of this project are here
